Aircraft Carrier
From Ace Combat Skies - Wiki
Aircraft Carriers are vessels that serve as mobile airbases in a power projection role.
Admiral Kuznetsov class CV
The Admiral Kuznetsov class is a Russian aircraft carrier design with limited anti-ship capabilities. Its carrier air wing's fixed aircraft complement consists entirely of Su-33s for air superiority as well as Ka-27 'Helix' helicopters for anti-submarine warfare.
The Kuznetsov class uses a ski jump to launch aircraft and an arrestor system to recover them.
Two ships of this class have been built, the Admiral Kuznetsov and Varyag. The Admiral Kuznetsov is currently in service with the Russian Navy and the Varyag has been purchased by China for evaluation purposes.
The Yuktobanian carrier Admiral Tsanev is Kuznetsov class.
Kitty Hawk class CV
Kitty Hawk class aircraft carriers are American supercarriers built to improve upon the Forrestal class. Significant design changes were made for more efficient aircraft operations. Her aircraft complement consists of up to 90 aircraft.
The Kitty Hawk class uses catapults to launch aircraft and an arrestor system to recover them.
ISAF's CV-04 Fort Grace is a Kitty Hawk, as well as Erusea's Geofon and unnamed Leasathian and Aurelian carriers in Ace Combat X.
Nimitz class CVN
The Nimitz class was ordered by the United States Navy in the late 1960s. They are nuclear-powered, only requiring refueling every 25 years, and are the largest warships ever built. They carry 90 aircraft as well as surface-to-air missiles and close-in weapons systems. The Nimitz class uses catapults to launch aircraft and an arrestor system to recover them.
Nimitz class carriers are used by the Osea Maritime Defense Force, Emmeria, and Estovakia. A notable example is the OFS Kestrel.
