Who visited the ACZ paint schemes thread knows, posting the images makes the thread load for eternity and a minute.
So I post links.
I know that the quality sucks. My camera sucks, that’s why. And making pics of the PSP’s screen isn’t too smart either, yet that’s all I can do and think of. At least I made 160 pics, resized and uploaded them for you, right? Bear with this or leave.

There are 40 planes in the game.
Each plane has 4 schemes:
- Aurelia
- Leasath
- Special 1
- Special 2
Aurelia schemes are default schemes.
Leasath schemes are available after completing the campaign once.
Special 1 schemes are the schemes of the enemy Aces, acquired by shooting these down and finishing the mission (there are exceptions, e.g. the Fenrir’s special 1 scheme, as there is no single Ace for the Fenrir – only Alect Squadron).
Special 2 schemes are acquired by flying the plane and destroying targets. There is a “Kill Rate” that has to reach 100%. Flying three or four missions, so that ca. 150 targets are destroyed are usually enough. This does vary, depending on the plane.

Planes in order, as they appear in the hangar.

Its cool the Viggen's made a comeback. Now its in some other AC game besides 2...

Some schemes on that, the XFA-27, 302, and X-29 look particularly nice.

At least some people do read the forum!

Well, sorry to disappint you, but there's no new scheme for it in here. In fact, schemes seen on the Su-37 in e.g. Zero are taken over to other planes ... youll see. If everything goes as planned, the rest will be on tomorrow.

Once all are up, the "my favorite schemes list!" will return. :D

I think you might want to change the title to ACX Paint Schemes Thread, not ACZ.

And Mods, this should be pinned, as has every other paint schemes thread.

Holy Crab! (little word pun)
Thanks for pointing that out, I made a typo. Sorry.

[edit:]

Alright, second day, second half. ALl is up now, with a little Fenrir Special.
At the end of the first post is my list of favorite schemes. You might want to simply copy and adjust it, if you wanna post your opinion - we saw that in the ACZ thread too and it was tolerated.

Hmm...that one Typhoon scheme is interesting...makes me remember the days of AC1 (Air Combat)

Also, the blue camo and yellow tiger schemes of the X-02 are quite nice.

You probably knew this, but all the links work perfectly :)

I just saw every scheme of every plane. Many known schemes and some are new. Most of them do suit the plane. Also the selection of planes is quite impressive.

And how many special planes? :D About 5 of them? Whitch one is the best? :D

Oh btw Aurum, did you take pics of your PSP with the camera or did you made ingame screenshot? (or isn't that possible in ACX?)

Nevertheless, you have invested much time in it and it is greatly appreciated B) Well done Aurum *2 thumbs up* ;)

Oh BTW... I didn't know the Yellow Termi was available!! :D Great motivation to get my own PSP :D (my brother is a PSP freak, I never get the chance to play what I want  )

I don't think we'll ever get rid of Mobius' and Yellow's schemes, but I like to see that NAMCO goes straight withthe fandom around both. I mean, nothing suits us better than 3-level-pointy-grey-camo with Yellow markings and underneath.

For the shots, I made these with my crappy camera from the PSP, you can tell by the reflections, you can actually figure out my hand(s) on many of them.

FOr the original aircraft, FALKEN and Wyvern perform as known, unless you tune them with parts. There are even special parts for each original plane (except Fenrir), but since I only flew them for fun and to get the kill rate full (for SP scheme 2), I don't care (FALKEN's laser can be enhanched and made remain longer with a weapon upgrade for instance - no use for this part for the other planes, as you can see).

The performance of the other planes, Apalis, Fregata, XFA-27, Cariburn and Forneus, is much the same as the planes surrounding them in the list.

So, the Apalis is a weak plane, yet can keep up with the F-5E.
Fregata is an attacker ... look at it, four engines but a fat ass, no matter how you turn to look at it.
XFA-27, middle class fighter.
Cariburn, perfectly capbale of taking down Alect.
Forneus, gives Raptor and Terminator competition, with a good pilot of course.

SInce all of them can be tuned, e.g. Hydra Engine for Fregata (speed like the MiG-31), of the ability of firing four (!) sidewinders in a row without waiting for reload for the XFA-27 (like X*AA), there are quite some possibilities, but the cat might bit it's own tail.
After tuning the XFA-27 I had a really agile fighter, but the stability had suffert so much, when rolling, it always rolled further then I wanted. Meaning, when I took my thumb off the 3D-pad, the fighter didn't sto yet. A short moment after, but it really sabotates your style.

The schemes, well, some cool ones, some crimes (Typhoon), interesting ideas (like the Su-47 with the SP2 schemes, formerly seen on Su-35 [AC5] and Terminator [ACZ] ), the usual stuff you might say.

Yeah but HOW do you unlcok the Fenrir's paint schemes ?

IMO The XFA-27 instability when rolling can be overcome when its tuned to the max . The XFA-27 owns .

Aurelia: default
Leasath: beat game on Hard, all S ranks
Special 1: kill rate 100%
Special 2: beat Operation X (SP mission) on Hard

XFA can be tuned to a point where the rolling is SO instable, when you take the thumb of the pad, it'll roll for a whole 0.5 seconds before stopping. I tried that and it was horrible to fly that way.

I have a problem...

The only SP1 paint scheme I need is the Fenrir's. I have its kill rate at 100% and still, nothing. I've also beaten Operation X on Hard. Got an S too.
Do I need to use the Fenrir in Op. X to get the SP1 paint scheme?
Or were you mistaken and do I have to do Op. X on Ace?

EDIT:
To get Special Scheme 1 for the Fenrir, you must beat Operation X on Ace mode.
Whether you need an S or not, I'm not sure of. I got an S, but I'm not sure if you need it.

Aurum, thank you so much for taking all of that time and going through all the trouble to post all of the paints from this game. As a model builder who is very interested in Ace Combat, I really enjoy looking through all of the pictures. Thanks!
