That is only on one Special Raid. I think it was Moby Dick 4. All other LV4 raids, the faster the BFM goes down, the better for the rest of your team.
And since it appears TWO times in Stone henge.....

Believe me, was tested a while.

Nah. I had an SHR IV on the weekend & BM was shot down by someone real quick both times. I was trying to shoot down UAVs but was in an attacker...

Anyway, we only got an A rank & those UAVs were the only thing that got away...

About Moscow Normal version, I also shotted it down REALLY fast one time. I was so close to it that I could fire all 6 6AAM and none was denied from drones. This plus 2 + 2 missiles = BM killed in 3-4 seconds.

Well... once you're hitting the right damage thresholds all that's left is how you play, and unless you provide a video of your regular matches it's hard to point out anything. Because your general set up looks fine.

 

What's your usual go-to anti air aircraft and its SP.W?

 

Believe it or not I don't really have one...I sort of cycle between the Falken, the Akula and the JR Tomcat when I'm in tryhard mode... I know I should just stick with one full-time for the duration...

 

And what damage threshold should I be aiming for in my loadouts??

I can personally attest that if you blow up the BFM instantly without getting any drones on Stonehenge IV, you *can* get stuck with an A-rank... Unless of course they patched it, since I haven't even done it since like last December...


I prefer the SAAM cause it too can one shot Hard Mode T50 etc. Plus it is one of the best choices if the Butterfly master appears. Normally I am the one who shots it down.

Last Stonehenge 4, I destroyed both Masters in less than 15s each.

 

TLS can melt her faster than that, believe it or not... Which is why the Morgan isn't my best friend against BFM, it's my ONLY friend...

The thresholds are 1600, 2000, 2400 damage for normal mode, and 1920, 2400, 2880 for hard mode. Which ones you wanna hit depends on your plane and your play style, really.

I wouldn't say there's a -wrong- way to go about it although those thresholds are a guideline many people seem to use. It's all about efficiency.

 

But from the way you describe your A2A experiences ("Kill Confirmation" "Overkill"), it could be that you fire too late or your plane/missile isn't fast enough--

I noticed that the homing XXL has saved my butt more than once. What pisses me off the most is inability to ohk Foxhounds (I will need L17 and warheads L to do that) and Scylla/Sniper left with tiny bit of health in case of 1st build.

 

PS I do not want to receive any builds that include more slots than I have - once I will unlock more, I will use different builds which I already have written down.

I personally would go for your second build. The extra time you spend lining up a proper shot (shouldn't take that much longer?) is saved by the fact you wait less for your missiles to reload. The extra reload speed on firepower enhancement helps too.

If you use a Special Weapon, maybe a Part to boost its performance too. For example a Propulsion part, which would actually help two of its 3 Specials a lot. SAAM and HPAA.

6AAM maybe too, if you use them to clean smaller jets only. But I would propably fly it with the SAAM. Like my R3 F14.

 

Also I would suggest to change Armor LL for Stealth LL at least in Coop missions. I rarely get it when I use the LL Stealth part. Of course you would have to buy the B2 before you get access to that part. (It is worth the credits, believe me).

My current SF1 Su-35 setup. It will one-hit everything up through the Su-47SP on Moscow Hard with either HPAA or MSL.

I tend to still use the 6AAM (without added parts) most of the time, though, for picking off the low-hanging fruit out at 24k feet, then getting almost-guaranteed kills on those that manage to get in closer.
