I like CRA but, I hate how it locks onto targets. The aircraft suddenly does an 180 degree on its own flight path or it does some unreal instantaneous pitch rates. CRA is an awesome idea but, it needs to be polished a little more. Greetings I'm new to these forums and I love fighter jets Posted Image.

welcome to ACS!

well, Physics obviously isn't a strongpoint for the guys at PA, but it DOES make for some BAD ASS combat maneuvers...

TY my friend. I have a question about CRA. How can you trigger CRA on multiplayer? I hope that the only way to trigger DFM on MP is to get behind the enemy's aircraft. I don't want to see people getting me on DFM when I cruise beside 'em they magically press R2/L2 & wham I'm in dogfight mode -_-. I like the CRA alot but, I just hope it won't be as easy to trigger as it was on the demo....

even though you answered your own question because of being the same as the game
i don't really know how you know if the mode is going to be CRA mode or ASM (air strike mode)

Based from another thread it is theorized that its based on the type of plane

I hear your plane also affects the maneuver. I.E. you wouldn't see (Lets say) a Fokker do a Pugachev's Cobra.

It does. Planes with TVC like the Raptor can do kulbits, but there's a video here: http://acecombatskie...-line-from-tgs/ which shows an F-16F pulling a tight loop instead of a kulbit. As to what will replace the Pugechev's Cobra in aircraft with conventional thrust control still has to be seen.

Unless it was piloted by Verner Voss...

Then we'd complain that 'He can do that, but why can't I?'

===

That makes me think...
I wonder if we can get the Red Baron's paint scheme as DLC, man that'd be awesome!

Try this one. As soon as you detect the missle inbound go into a tight level left or right turn. Next hit the A/B. Maintain this for at least three orbits. If you have broken missle lock then level out and go. If not, then either A) Roll out slightly and start to orbit out away from the center or B) Input a little yaw and start to orbit down toward the ground. If necessary all the way down till you lose missle lock in ground clutter. I know it's not perfect but it works for me. Good Hunting.

Red baron, Verner Voss, 56th Squadron & Albert Ball paint schemes (maybe some neuvo-updated paint schemes for the later two since they were pretty boring [to my memory])

Then maybe something from WWII like...
Uh...
I'm not very familiar with ones from II

At the risk of being cliche, especially with a movie coming out.....

Try the blue nosed bastards, the black devil of the ukraine (erich hartmann), 343rd Kokutai, Flying tigers, abbeville boys, tuskegee airmen. WWII has some great designs.

what I find most vital in CRA encounters is airspeed. I find it's easy to stall out before counter-maneuvering.

to fix this, i often punch afterburner once engaged, then start pumping the high-G barrel roll.

So, the AI actually pulled a counter on me while I was using CRA. AWESOME!
