I was thinking, what if my ACX/ACJA control scheme wasn't exactly perfect after all.
Which is kind of a sad thought at least for me. I was so proud of it and now it might turn out to have been a waste.
Thing is I would never have realized this had I not played AC Zero so I can't be too hard on myself.
And it was a pretty cool control scheme anyway.
I used camera lock more and more and more over time throughout all the games but AC Zero took this to ridiculous heights.
When I first played ACX, I hadn't even gotten to that point yet. My initial control scheme(s) disregarded flying in 3D entirely. (initially I had targeting mapped to nub only, so I can look back at a target while boosting away)
I wanted to yaw and this was exciting for me.
But now, camera lock is even greater than yawing, or much greater, so the emphasis has completely 180'd throughout my AC career. I used camera lock excessively in ACJA, but I only can't fire missiles while doing so, which is something I do in AC Zero all the time. So my control scheme is henceforth ''flawed''.
So I'm like ok what if I went back and put targeting back to triangle button.
So L/R are brake and thrust once again.
But where was I going with this.. oh I remember now.
See, while this lets me fire missiles while in camera lock, I still can't use guns.
Well whatever right, you can't use guns while in camera lock while in the PS2 AC's anyway, not to mention guns suck.
OH WAIT guns don't suck because you're playing ACX/ACJA.
So this is where it gets utterly sick.
What if targeting is R button.
Guys I think I might have to throw away all my other PSP games.
