Get rid of the excuse of activity that is legacy? Aquila aside, the squads that have a "legacy" division don't do anything... At all.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Plus, too many times do the moderation staff have to close repeated topics and suspend members for stupid stuff that could be avoided. I think part of the problem is that in which the board forums are organized (The "Introduce Yourself" topic certainly isn't going to be my first stop if I have to search for it.) and that an introductory section should be made alongside the "ACS News" forum.

Make it easier for the new guy, to make it easier for yourself.

Oh and the S&S sterotype thing could go, cuz its really pathetic.

I am completely against getting rid of Legacy.

There's a reason that BAF hasn't formally eliminated our Legacy branch. For one, people still compete. Look at Y13's new comp and you'll see BAF members. And so long as we have GG and Y13, Legacy comps will still pop up, no matter how sparsely attended they are.

Just never really been a witness to such activity outside that of Aquila and BAF, Lancers are d-e-a-d and UPEO is impossible to set up a match with.

but yea, /bitch rant :3

Lancers are d-e-a-d

Please do elaborate on why we're participating in that competetion then.

You a Lancer? You might want to show your affiliation, then, in your profile, since you don't fly a Lancer sig....

About legacy: you must consider what ACS is (or if it isn't already, what we want it to be) the main hub for AC on the internet. Thus it's ACS' duty to support all games in the series, lest they be forgotten in the sands of time. It's ACS, not AC6S or ACAHS.

I think they're talking about "Legacy" squadrons, not the legacy games.

Legacy battles never showed how good you were against a live opponent, which shows your true skill. I drew away from clans and squads simply because of the fact that too much focus is on player skills rather than having a good time and enjoying yourself. Back in my early FPS days, clans were groups of friends who got together and went Beast Mode using their combined efforts. Nowadays the focus is on the no-so-coveted "#1 player in the world" spot on the leaderboards and a kill/death ratio higher than that of the dude above you on said leaderboards.

Define true skill in AC6 online, please.

I'm not by any means saying to completely drop legacy, but rather promote it so the remaining legacy squadrons have something to do. Because from what I see, when these legacy tournaments and challenges aren't happening, nothing is.

Also, Legacy comps are much more convenient, because not a lot of us have Xbox- and I personally am NOT gonna waste my friggin money on that piece of shit just to play AC6 online!

Ace Combat appeared on Playstation first, so more of us have the Legacy titles (I'm still pissed at NamDai for fucking us over, making AC6 an Xbox exclusive!)

If we want to revisit this tired old argument, then we can.

I bought a 360 for AC6. It was my first 360 game.
But then I bought some more. So my 360 wasn't just for one game.

And if you're anything like anyone else, you don't play just one game. So either suck it up and do it, or just get AC:AH for PS3 and skip AC6.

Having nearly abadonded this site for nearly two years and having no knowledge of the site history in that lull of mine, I'd like to know what is meant by "nonsense from Zaku and his idiotic friends back in the day."

Because apparently last week = "back in the day" lol

Though that still didn't answer the question.
