Let me get this straight, S-ranking the game on ace gives you nothing? Nothing at all?

Nothing so far, except satisfaction that you can beat the game in the hardest difficulty, and at the best rank (S).

It would seem that the reason for this is that the developers deemed the task too difficult a feat for most people, and thus decided not to have anything of huge significance riding on it like a medal or plane or other such thing. Still, that's just my speculation. Of course, that means that those of us skilled enough to achieve this feel cheated for our efforts.

Did you shoot the floor in the middle of the stonehenge ring? This will disable radar jamming.

That's the first thing you should do. This can easily be done with bullets.

What exactly is your cause for delay in completing the mission?

Oka_Nieba,

I'm just a little rusty at the game, that's all. You may disregard my question as I know I will just be a matter of practice (and, of course, getting the S ranking).

1. Shoot out the jammer in the middle first.
2. Take out all SAM's and AA's
3. Go for the first 6 cannons
4. Take out all aircrafts
5. Distroy the final cannon
6. Take out one of the Yellow's

Boom, instant "S" ranking.

Wow, I can't believe I didn't notice how simple of a mission it was! My bad. What plane and weapon would you all reccommend using (I know the F/A-18C with LASM works very well here, though).

EDIT: Thanks, Nugget.

Anything would work, if you're having a hard time with the Yellows, bring something with anti air, if you're having troubles with the cannons (Which you shouldn't), bring bombs.

Gracidia,

Thanks. I'm personally thinking F/A-18C with UGBMs or LASMs, since of course, the Hornet's the best jet I have at this point.

Thanks again. Like I said, I'd never realized Stonehenge Offensive was so simple; it always seemed so hard to me for some reason (maybe it's the railguns' destructive shockwaves) but IDK.

The F/A-18C is a decent aircraft for this mission. I usually use it myself. However I use XMAA's to deal with the aircraft. Then just use the 20mm or Standard missiles to take out the air defenses and the Stonehenge guns.

Thanks for the help, Tomcatter. I'll give it a go tonight.

It's always a good idea to pay attention to the mission briefing. It will explain what needs to be done to accomplish the mission.

The rest is up to you. Good luck.

I agree with that strategy except for two things.

1. I would suggest you take out all the enemy aircraft after destroying the jammer. This ensures that you get all the points possible. Friendly aircraft will snag them if you are not quick enough.
2. There's no apostrophe in "Take out one of the Yellows":P

(Yes, yes, grammar Nazi, I know).

Ok, i recently got into the series as i have posted elsewhere (basically six started it, and within the last two weeks i have all but Zero and AH(of course). I keep hearing this is the best of the lot. seeing as im used to the later games, what do i need to be aware of that is different than the later games?

Other then graphics and plane selection it's basicly the same as AC6 ( but without the dance with the angels crap)

EDIT:
Oh and the aces are in ares you wouldn't normally go. So unless you look them up good luck hunting

* More realistic flying physics
* Godly QAAMs
* An enemy that you don't really hate, cause he's just a good guy on the wrong side.
* Exceptional storyline

Good Luck! ;)

You should also add repetitive missions and missions that you have to waste 20 minutes on because most missions will only be finished when the timer reaches zero to that list.

If we need to add then, then we also need to add that there is a minimal score for each mission (after you reach minimal it shows your the mission score rank so no more guessing untill its over)
