In Mayhem he flies an F/A-18C. I don't know about in Mission 12, you can't get close enough to ID him on your HUD.

I'm having an awful time getting Spatz to spawn. I've tried in Normal/Merc and Ace/Merc, shooting all yellows, shooting no yellows, and leaving one yellow. He's my last Named Ace, second time through. Any suggestions? Thanks.

That's the F-35 Ace.. right?

I got it during Merc Path, Ace mode. I usually get him every time. Maybe it's not with the yellows. Have you killed all the bombers perhaps?

Did you try to shoot down all the bombers before they got outside of the map?
He should pretty much appear if you take them down, F-35 is stealth BTW, so you should try to look harder.

Yeah, I think I have to shoot down all bombers, since they're all red (ie. targets). I get them all before they make it half way through the map. Then I have plenty of time to pick off the F-15's and MiG-31's, then the bomb explodes, turning the rest yellow, and depending on my strategy, I shoot none, all, or leave just one yellow (including Trombe). Then the red Su-27's appear (more targets), but no F-35's appear...I've waited until time almost expires while cruising the borders, zig-zagging the center, searching for green triangles that fade in and out (typical for an F-35), but I just can't seem to make him spawn. I've done this mission well over 25 times now, trying every variation I can think of. (I saved, then try about 5 more times unsuccessfully, then reload, and repeat this to keep my time and kill numbers low on my Raptor. I don't think this should effect the plane spawning, though.)

This is my second time erradicating the Assault Record (New Game), so I wonder if that's some kind of a glitch or something on multiple times through. The first time through, he appeared, I got him, end of story. I now have all Aces but him.

EDIT: Okay, I got it. I saved, rebooted the PS2 and reloaded, then tried again, and he appeared. I remember I fixed some other glitch this way in the past.

MiG-31 'Riese' - Mission 13, Ace difficulty, Mercenary. Concentrate on enemy fighters as much as possible, and after you've dropped a certain number of them (can't remember how many exactly) he'll appear nearby, generally over the groups of ground targets.



Ace #165:

Typhoon 'Pyoshka' - Mission 17 on Normal difficulty or higher and Soldier ace style. Once you get to Avalon Dam, he'll be lurking around on the south side of the damn (to your right and at high altitude after you exit the valley).



Ace #166:

F-14D 'Kon' - Mission 17, Ace difficulty and Knight style, in the same place as Pyoshka described above.

You have to destroy the first group fo Mig-21's in the southwestern quadrant, then there are 3 Mig-21's and a Mig 31 near the crawlers south of Mt. Schrim, then you go for the 4 Mig-21's that appear in the central region. After that, go after the group to the west of Mt. Schrim and once you destroy them, Riese will appear.

He appears in Mission 12: Stage of the Apocalypse. Knight path

After the nuclear explosions with the Su-27s in the northern part of the map.

F-117A - Complete Mission 13 in Ace Mode.
F-35C - Shoot Down F-35C "Moewe" in Mission 4B (Ace Level)

There aren't number but only names...so #107 and #117 should be Lynx #1 and Weihe?

Spatz : M12/M Normal and above do not attack yellow unit, will appear after a period of time(should be after the nuke)
Lynx 1&2 : M12/S First time all target cleared and appear
Weihe : M14/Mars West of the ships appear after destroying two ships
Messer 1&2 : M14 Mars Hard or above, appear after clearing some of the ground targets
Lanze : M14/Mercury Destroy the JAS-39C coming out from the tunnel and will appear
Albatros : M14/Mercury Hard or above appear after cleaning all ground targets

I play this mission everyday (obviously destroying all the bombers)... I have destroyed all yellow target (the ones before and after the nuke); doing it without hitting a green or yellow target; on record time, etc. and always going to the north to see if he is there.

Which path are you looking in ?? He appears in Merc Path on normal difficulty or higher. He appears with the SU-27s after the nuke is dropped. Usually in the northern part of the map.

Oh, yes, of course I play this mission in mercenary path, in normal to ace difficulties... destroying all bombers, but he never appears. As far as I know, destroying yellow/green planes are not a requirement...

Does he appear between, above or behind the Su-27's? Assuming he is appearing, but as he is stealth, how far must I be to see him in radar? Is he at a higher altitude? Must I be in a certain condition? (altitude, part of the map, not being hit?)

Sorry about the lot of questions, but I've tried with different combinations, and I don't know what's left to do now.

I have to ask could somone with a capture card take some pics of the standar f-2a in flight I have never been able to find any except the one in this topic.

I have gotten EVERY ace except "Mig-21bis Eisente". I know it's somewhere in mission 14, but I have never found it. Any help?

I have shot down every ace once, but after that my profile got wiped (brother ). So now I'm working on getting them again, and the ones I will need help with appear on Bastion and Lying in Deceit. Any help would be appreciated.

that one is a sneaky one... I'll have to go back and review that. I think there is a sequence in which you have to destroy certain targets.
