I got this game in the hope that it would be similar to Q3: Arena. I was disappointed that there was no bot DM or something besides story because not many people play online anymore. What do you think of Q4?

I got it, played it till half way through, then realized that Call of Duty 2 and Half-Life 2 were better games, single and multiplayer.

Q4 was a worthwhile experiment in the Quake Franchise, but it needs less story and more monster bashing.

Personally I love a good storyline. I love shooting and monster bashing, too, but a story always brings it together for me.

I love a good story as much as the next guy, but I hate bad attempts at good stories. If you're going to make a game, either make a good story or a good game, or both. Don't tack a story on for the sake of doing it.

I agree with Psycho. As much as I like an indepth story, the only reason I picked up Q4 was because I was looking for a game that I could mindlessly (at least somewhat) kill players via the internet and that would run on my laptop. Not many new games can run at minimum on a 32mb gpu and 512 mb ram. I'm upgrading to a desktop soon (hopefully within the week). Many thaks to Psycho for that.
