Forum Rules
Dear Forumer(s),

In life, there are many rules that you find yourself obliged to follow, no matter how much you dislike those making the rules. As any sense would dictate, the rules are subject to change, not all-inclusive, and subject to interpretation by a moderator.

Rule 1
Simply put, don't be a dick. We don't want to deal with people coming here just to pick fights, start wars, and be a general asshat. If you do, the mods and admins will be more than happy to give you a figurative (or literal) kick in the face. Harassment is just not cool.

Rule 2
Flame wars are not pretty things. While we're generally lenient, we reserve the right to close down any flame war for reasons including them becoming...

A: Entirely too personal.
B: Uses excessive swearing.
C: Monotonous.
D: Suck and fail.

What usually spawns flame wars are political and religious discussions. Only very recently have we added the "Politics" subforum, so we'd ask you to do your best not to screw everyone over. Trolling/flamebaiting is also easy to find in discussions like these. Predictably, this is also not allowed.

Rule 3
What is allowed then? Certainly not illegal such-an-so's! That's for sure. While it's generally accepted that everyone on the internet are 17 year-old boys, that doesn't make it acceptable to post pirated stuff or porn and such on the site. NSFW material, no matter how much we all love and enjoy it, is prohibited.

Rule 4
Everybody speaks a language. Unfortunately, here you are restricted to English. Basically:

A: No excessive abbreviations such as u, r, wat, etc.
B: No exceedingly bad spelling at the risk of being mocked more than anything.
C: No 1337-speak.

Rule 5
Spam is just lame and won't be tolerated. Spam, just pictures, just a quote, complete nonsense, or really anything we find stupid. It's required that your posts must contain at least 5 words related to the thread.

Rule 6
You only get one account. This means absolutely no duplicate accounts. If you want your name changed, contact an administrator and be sure to ask nicely. If you have another account, you will be kicked. Then that account will be banned. The same goes for making an account to get around a ban.

Rule 7
Your signature is limited to 250 pixels in height. You are free to put what ever combination of images and text you want within that space.

To give you an idea of the height of your signature, there is a guide line in the signature preview area of your Control Panel. The line has a red tip that indicates the cut-off point.

Rule 8-ish
If you don't like the site, and feel the need to whine at every corner, just remember that there is nobody keeping you here. Feel free to leave if you hate it.


The moderation team reserves the right to close, edit, move, or remove any topic in addition to any member for any reason.

Rule 9 (new as of February 17th, 2010)
Any unsolicited direct advertisements (for any other website or product) made by any members by means of Private Messages or Forum Posts is absolutely unacceptable.

These unsolicited advertisements can be define as unwanted posts or messages designed to sell or promote some commodity, service, website or similar thing apart from anything related to ACS by both staff or members.
