Anyway, what's the coolest kill you've ever made in any AC game?

Mine was yesterday. AC4. Megalith. X-02. I was fighting off Smirnova (the ace) and I was just behind him - we were both in a dive. Only I wasn't exactly behind him. I'll explain it like this: Had we both crashed I would have crashed to the left of him. Anyway we were in that dive, and I make an unintended barrel roll, which puts me in perfect firing postion behind him. It looked awesome in the replay

AC5-Closure
I was chasing an enemy plane to the back of Mt. Schirm. He was in a slight dive. Edge was coming to the enemy head-on. It was some thing like this:
me>_____enemy>______<Edge

And then I shoot 2 missiles up his tail, Nagase shoots one head on and he gets hit from both sides! It was like this:

me>____->->____enemy>_____<-_______<Edge

It looked awesome, like having set him up! And then I made a head-on pass with Nagase which looked even better. After he got shot down Nagase gave me the following words (that are rarely heard):"Tandem attack was a sucess!"

Does killing yourself count?

I took out a MiG-1.44 with a bomb, unfortunatly it was my MiG-1.44.

No, wait, you can't get hit by your own weapons. eg, if you are flying very low with a YA-10B and you drop a FAEB you can't damage yourself. And I've heard about going top speed launching a missile and then slowing down but you still don't get any damage from what I've heard.

well he prob flied too low to the ground.The missile thing is hard to achieve as you need to place your plane exactly in the missile path wich is very difficult at those high speends.

Never heard nagase say, Tandem attack was a success.

I dunno my best kill as i dont remember, but i once killed a plane about 6000ft away with normal missiles.

Best escape though was on the rocon mission.I let the Grabarc get to bout 2000ft when they fire missiles and i pulled up literary in the last hundreth of a second.I had the feeling the missiles shaved my plane.

A lucky one was on AC4 when i bounced of a cliff with the back of my plane.

Yeah, she nearly never say that quote. But it was a very cool scene, like in a movie! Real co-operation I tell ya!

Yeah. They all say it. It depends on your flying style. If you stay more to the realistic style of flying then you'll get alot of chances for tandem attacks.

Yeah, I've noticed that I've been getting a lot of kills along with my wingmen lately (like 3 missiles on an opponents tail, almost as if my wingmen's AI got buffed up for some reason) but that was the only time I got him from the tail and the nose! And the only time I heard that phrase...

It only happens if you launch one missile at a baddie then edge/chopper/grimm/swordsman downs the same baddie almost immediately..

They all did it for me at once...and later with long range missiles.

I feel kinda bad for them really. I love those long range kills. I'm my Raptor or Eurofighter. The feel so professional.

i was goin head on with grabacr, i was flyin to the altitude limit till i stalled and turned around goin straight down, grabacr was below me goin straight up and i fired two missiles
they went straight through the intakes, blew up about halfway into the plane, and also blew up the back with a huge explosion, after that i kept goin straight for about 3 secs and blew up

was an even better replay..

The CPUs are a bunch of pansies... They never wanna fight at 25,000+ feet.

make them chase you there but on AC5 or ACZ or AC when i launch an XLAA barrage i allways think of clips from like inpendence day or some future movies where they lauch huge barrages of shot i get the hole power feeling but back to topic coolest kill was of Siber 1, i launched a XLAA barrage useing the SU-37 at the four f-16's they all shot their sp weapons after me i rolled them while going head on like diagnoly as i came out was head on silber 1 and just barely got a shot off and turned in time before he got me or ran into me it was insane

I do! But they end up drangging the fight lower and lower. At least the 8492 had some balls to fight up high. All my cool kills take place at least around 20,000 ft.

I love gun-pegging Aces in ACZ when they do those super-sharp turns to the left or right. I lead the gun just so, where every round blows a hole in the body of their plane behind the cockpit, you know, in the wings...

...bonus fun for using the A-10's gun...

Well this was in Ace Combat 5, not really considered a kill per se.
And I found out that AI can crash into each other.

I was going head on at a F-15E in one of the desert missions, and another was on my tail so I pulled up and the two enemys ran into each other as they were pitching up to follow me.

Well I don't know what happend but in the replay it looked like my own bomb killed me.

I dropped a few bombs on some ground targets than dived to go strafe some of them then all of a sudden I died, no SAM warning or anything. Then in the replay it looked like my own bomb fell on my when I dived to strafe them.

in AC4 two f-14 were flying real tight formation, i came around behind them, then with the way i hit the one it did a super fast barrel role and slamed it to the other one, i didnt even get a shot off on the second one but i still got the kill, it ws pretty sweet

in Ace Combat Zero, Mission # 7

A squadron of 4 Eurofighters were mulling off some crazy manuevers right above me. One passed right in front of me, I fired my gun and blew the bastard's rear-end off
