I believe so, but, I have to say it will be a VERY long movie. I have come up with this idea, and even gave each of the missions and inbetweens a time a constraint, and have concluded that the movie can be no less than 4 hours and 15 minuites long. So, either they gamble with the length, or make it a two parter. Or, they could make it into a mini series

They should make a movie about it, the only thing I would be worried about is that they might leave certain things out.

I think it should be a TV mini series, kinda like Battle Star Galactiga.

Yes, but I'd rather it be a mini-series. It would make a long ass movie. Also considering it takes about 4 hours to beat the game, without watching cutscenes.

IMO, if you split it into hour long shows it would work better. You could make an episode one mission.

I think ACZ would make a good movie.

That's a lot of episodes Name Taker. Also you have to take into the account the splits in the story line (face of the coin, yadda yadda).

Also, it would be a highly expensive mini-series. Absolutley destroying BoB in production costs. Military approval, aircraft, CGI, wow price would be very high.

On top of that, Ace Combat is one of the lesser games out there (still my favorite), but in the eyes of the general public, it is nothing compared to Halo or GOW.

And good call Sipher! ACZ would probably be better anyways.

Could you answer this Yes or No question for me: If your making the movie would it make sense to do this, durring missions 1-19, use only the aircraft provided by the OADF (Osean Air Defense Force), and for missions 20-27, use only the aircraft provided by the OMDF (Osean Maritime Defense Force), and explain why you choose Yes or No?

I would say giving them F-5 training craft for Missions 1-4, like in the game, cuz there trainers, then give them F-15 or 16s for up to 19, then give them tthe F-18 Super Hornet from 20-27

I think it would be one bad ass movie, if done correctly, I'd love to see The Falken on the bring screen tearing it up with the chemical laser, provided if they put it in.

But yeah, I say bring it on, I've always wanted to see a Ace Combat movie, that other jet movie "Stealth" doesn't count as a "cool" jet movie.

You could animate it, like some of those other shows out there (like Area 88 or Yukizai [sp?])

Also AC5 has really only 2 or three splits. ACZ has at least 3 splits, and multiple ways to win.



Except you have to decide which ace squadron to beat. And also figure out How Cipher and Pixy managed to not only clean house in the round table in mayhem, but also figure out how they took out the ace squad. (I don't think there is a place to land, re-arm and re-fuel near the mission area) AC5 is much more believeable IMO.

IMO, they should do a zero, but as a pre-quel to 5. (kind of like star wars, the ones that came last were first) Also if they do it that way, the need to figure out a way to incorporate the Yukes into it.

Ah yes, this is a good statement. ACZ would make one hell of a great flick. Especially when the 7 Nukes go off, that'd be one chilling scene.

Except without all the hair.

IIRC, animation is cheaper that a real-life movie.

the problem with animating it, is that it wouldnt be hollywood anymore. i think this was originally about actors and such.

Your forgeting that the F-14A Tomcat is the Wardog/Razgriz Squadrons main aircraft, no offense.
If I was deciding, I would say no fictional aircraft are allowed to be used by the player in the game, cause that's kind of like cheating in the game.

I'm not so sure, but I said "yes" anyways.
The game is different, where they used videos to tell the story instead of pictures and words.
I suppose you'd just need to extend that to make a movie or something.
