* Make no effort whatsoever to communicate and/or coordinate with your teammates. This allows the wasting of as much ordinance as possibly on a single target that your entire 8-player team is attacking. * Fly in a straight line as often as possible. * High-G until you are shot down or shoot down your target. If you stall before this happens, gain a few hundred knots of airspeed and repeat. * Spam XMA6s at close range; this is Super Effective * Spam XLAAs at even closer range; this is also Super Effective * Make no serious attempt to evade QAAMs. Instead, complain about how they're cheap, overpowered, n00bish, etc. * Ignore SpAAMers. Instead, allow them to kill you and your entire team. * Do not attempt to lock down the enemy spawn. * Conversely, if your spawn is locked down, accuse the enemy team of spawncamping. * Do not attempt to acquire ESM in TB4. * Do not attempt to stay near/protect your ESM aircraft in TB1. * Engage NPC aircraft instead of player aircraft whenever possible. * In SB1, do not blitz the enemy. Instead, have the entire team focus on and completely destroy one target area at a time, including operation-critical units. This allows the targets to respawn and prevents you from actually winning the game. * In SB1, make no attempt to lock own the enemy spawn and/or intercept them before they get into LASM range of your targets. That would be too intelligent and require coordination. * Whenever possible, choose air-to-surface weapons for aircraft that aren't the A-10. * Ensure that you always fly low enough to be FAEB'd. * If you are losing or unable to land hits on the enemy, they are hacking. This, of course, is one of the most well-known aspects of online gaming. * If you are being royally pwnd by said hackers, quit. * Instead of taking down a CFA-44 for massive amounts of points, complain about how it and the EML are cheap, overpowered, ettc. * Crash to avoid enemy fire. * Crash to reload your SPWs. * Crash to reload your MSSLs. * Fly above the canyon rim in TB5. * Do not join the team you are asked to join. Preferably, join the opposite one. * Do not ready up, ever. Especially when asked. * Despite being repeatedly kicked, continue to join a single room. * Do not reset your mic when asked to- the static and/or feedback add to the atmosphere. |

You have to counter noobs in Su-47/F-22 in some way you are actually forgetting about the ones who love to change the rules at the last second just for using the CFA and turn an organised siege/team battle into an EML party(I REALLY HATE YOU. you know who i'm talking about @ tempest: you PWN. -------------------- QUOTE (Vanguard One @ the E.S. @ Aug 22 2008, 02:25 AM) It looks to me like someone was running on hormones when they drew those women. You do *NOT* need to use Idolmaster planes to counter players in SU-47/F-22's you can do that just as well in any other plane with any scheme, i.e F-16 with any scheme you want!

F-22s aren't anything special, you can beat them with any decent plane. Su-47s are tougher, but you could always get the cheaper (and much cooler
I know there are overpowered planes already among the default ones, but the problem with IM@S is that pretty much all of them plain destroy the default version of the same plane. F-16 only battle? Idol F-16 wins. F-14 only? Idol F-14 wins. Sure, there are exceptions and there's overpowered DLC that isn't IM@S, but they're not so extreme. Also, I knew my post would spawn some kind of argument like this, but I can't stand seeing something like "spend money to be the best" in a topic with the purpose of helping someone get better online. QUOTE you are actually forgetting about the ones who love to change the rules at the last second just for using the CFA and turn an organised siege/team battle into an EML party(I REALLY HATE YOU. you know who i'm talking about lawl at that. Only the F-14 plane in Idol that is overpowered other planes are just increase in mssl and sp, in return lost defence/stability. |

Oh, and FAEBs are NOT for A2A combat... don't ever try it, it's not fun, enjoyable, or humorous in ANY way.

Oh, and FAEBs are NOT for A2A combat... don't ever try it, it's not fun, enjoyable, or humorous in ANY way. When I was playing online, it started and the 1st enemy I saw wa an A-10 and I was thinking "What is he doin'?" Then, suddenly, big explosion, I crash. The 1st time it happen, I laughed, but then it was happen over and over, then it just got annoying. I stayed at high altitude for the rest of the time. -------------------- ![]() After I thought I couldn't read anymore, I did... registering Democrat. Obama/Biden '08! |

I know there are overpowered planes already among the default ones, but the problem with IM@S is that pretty much all of them plain destroy the default version of the same plane. F-16 only battle? Idol F-16 wins. In my experience with F-16 only battles, most people who've downloaded the F-16 IM@S (or just about any other IM@S for that matter) tend to be kinda n00b. They really can't fly them, or any other DLC/stock plane that well. So to that I say: F-16 only match?: PJ > IdolMaster But even so, looks and stat changes don't matter too much. My Emmerian Su-33 holds its own against all the DLC. So, I say pilot skill is more important than what you've downloaded. -------------------- ![]() |

Its true, if you have skill you can hold your own against DLC's
