On April 17, 1994, Raptor 1's father was doing a training flight in his F-4 Phantom II when one of the engines shut down.(the cause is still unknown) This sent him spinning toward the ground at high speed. Unfortunately, he was flying in the mountains and crashed almost instantly, killing him and his co-pilot. When Raptor 1 heard the news, he was crushed, but at that moment, he knew exactly what he needed to do.

After some time, he joined ISAF and became part of Mobius 118, only this time, his friend refused to join with him. He eventually got drafted by the Erusians and became part of the 156th Aquila Squadron known as Yellow Squadron without telling Raptor 1. At the start of the Continental War for Stonehenge, Raptor 1 led Mobius 118 as Mobius 1. He won battle after battle earning kill after kill, and even defeated Stonehenge. It was there that he earned his first ace kill by shooting down Yellow 4, never suspecting that Yellow 1 was his best friend.

After defeating Stonehenge, Raptor 1 received a note saying he was being stationed in Aurelia. But before he left, he was told that he could keep a plane of his choice. This was a privelage that only the greatest of aces got, and he was one of them. After looking at all the planes, he chose the F-22A Raptor because it handled very well and it looked good, and then he was off to Aurelia. (Yellow 1 was defeated at Megalith but barely escaped destruction and fled to Aurelia in a heavily damaged Su-37 Terminator.)

Upon arrival, Raptor 1 learns that Leasath, Aurelia's neighboring country, declared war on Aurelia. Having found out about the war, he headed for Cape Aubrey to escape capture. He was immediately recruited by the border defense force Gryphus Squadron. Not knowing about his skill, they sent him and five other pilots to destroy a group of bombers headed their way. Raptor 1 successfully destroyed all bombers and escort aircraft, including the ace pilot Manta. Unfortunately, the airborne fortress Gleipnir was deployed, and it launched an SWBM(Shock Wave Ballistic Missle). Of the six pilots that took off from Cape Aubrey, only two returned, Raptor 1 and a badly damaged wingman. And so it began, the War for Aurelian Freedom.

Raptor 1 became the commander of Gryphus Squadron for the remaining missions and led Aurelia toward freedom. And just like back home in Usea, he won battle after battle and kill after kill, but this time, he didn't stop after defeating the Gleipnir. He went on toward a much bigger prize, Griswall. On his way, he shot down aces like Gacrux, Biel, and Inferno. He also defeated the Meson Cannon and helped Victor Regiment secure Gaiuss Tower. But that didn't end the war, it only freed Aurelia.

Gryphus Squadron learned that Leasath built an advanced fighter known as Fenrir that was based off of tactical battle data gathered on the Gleipnir, and it's production facility was on Sentry Island. Raptor 1 immediatly left for that island, but had to take care of the HPM(High Performance Microwave Weapon) research facility at Cobalt Cave on the way. By doing so, he allowed the ace Alect Squadron to advance to Archelon Fortress (on Sentry Island) and take control of Fenrir. But with all the skill he obtained, he didn't care. Also,on the way, he met his old friend Aquila 1 (formerly known as Yellow 1) flying an F-22A for Aurelia. Together, they helped each other defeat Fenrir (using techniques from their simulated dogfights) and the Leasath fleet that was sent for back-up. And, thanks to the landing unit, Raptor 1 was able to fly into Archelon Fortress and destroy the rest of the Fenrirs inside by using a chain reaction.

One of the Fenrirs that took off was shot down by Raptor 1. It landed on top of some bombs that detonated and destroyed the others. They, in turn, hit multiple parts of the fortress, causing it to explode. The resulting explosion spread to the rest of the fortress, and Raptor 1 just barely escaped the last one. When he returned home, there was a celebration already waiting for him, and now he is known as The Southern Cross.

Raptor 1 continues to serve Aurelia even to this day, yet with his own squadron, and it is known as the 1st TFW Raptor Squadron. So, if you're looking for a loyal, hard-working wingman, call on Raptor 1.
