I remember that a while ago they said that this game was being made. Is it ever going to be released or has it died?

Its most likely dead since it was just nothing more then a PSP port of GT4. There hasn't been anything about it for quite sometime and with alot of the effort and attention on GT5, there probably won't be.

It's been canceled and brought back to life numerous times. Polyphony says
they'll start on it after completing GT5, but I seriously doubt it'll happen.

Well, it appears I might be wrong and that perhaps there is some hope for you:

In an interview with Kikizo, GT series creator Kazunori Yamauchi has once again confirmed that the PSP game Gran Turismo Mobile is still in active development. Despite having been overwhelmingly written off by the the popular press, the gaming press, and even video game retailers, it remains something that Yamauchi repeatedly confirms.

Kikizo: And what's happening with GT Mobile?

Yamauchi: Probably next year.

Kikizo: Probably next year? So it's still in active development?

Yamauchi: Yes.

Yamauchi's responses are intentionally vague, but there has obviously been some work on the title and it would be a significant write-off of the developer's time if they did not plan to release it eventually.

As with the current PSX emulator on the PSP ( commonly called "POPS" ) there's only digital controls (emulating d-pads).

My current PSP Firmware: FW 3.52 M-33 UPDATE 4

My Macintosh/PC OS: Mac OS X 10.5.4 , Windows XP(2) (plans of installing linux but compromised by BootCamp partition layout)

My PSX models: none

My PS2 models: SCPH-70012 (SWITCH WORN OUT) SCPH-30001 (LASER FAILURE AT FLAT POSITION)

i wouldn't advise trying an emu for PSP.

gah... all the flashing and modding to the battery(yes, you have to mod the battery, sleep.gif )...large potential for bricking...

but anyway, i too hope that they will get this out. not soon, cause i hate half arse games, but even sparse updates would be appreciated, no?
