Whats up with U Class? Is it just me, or is everyone here BUT me obsessed with them? Or on XBL for that matter?

Sure I have a CLK-GTR, PI 999. Sure I can drive it just fine without assists and still take podium. But geez--they are no fun! Its too good--there is no skill in driving them. I drive it conservatively because I KNOW the person who wins isn't the one who drives the fastest, but the person who crashes the least!

If the fanbois on XBL have it their way, racing will be nothing but rocket-powered cars with bicycle tires for wheels. Whatever happened to momentum racing, to groups that are so tightly-tuned and so evenly-powered that after 10 laps the field only spans 500 meters?

The only U class cars I really drive are ones that give me a challenge, I like my Venom since it takes some effort to keep on the road, same with my Ford GT, but really people want the easy way out, and most people are idiots so they think the more parts on there car the faster it goes.

You need to move down to C class if you want the fun stuff.

My friend and I have U-F430s (the one in my pics) that are tuned to be well-balanced. We always love to piss off the nuts online who have drag-cars that can't turn worth $#!+.

But I love drag cars. I'm not really into those sleek, Itai sports cars. I'm not really into those kinda of cars. Why do you think I collect classic and modern muscle cars? They're my favorite. 'Cept for my Eclipse. I guess you can consider that a coupe or a sports car.

Dodge Viper. All the way.

I have nothing against draggers, I just hate that they act all cool just to be baeten by 2 laps by me.

I can't even find a worthwhile race to run in to start with, but yes, I would much prefer a solid lower class race over the higher classes. I ran a few races a while ago with a B class Eclipse and smoked guys in U cars.....it was horribly sad.....

Only thing I use online for is auction house....for the above reasons

I really just like customizing cars and then racing them to see if it was worth the trouble and 50 minutes....

I have two Honda Civics, one S956 and one S980, both of them incredibly fun and satisfying.

Man, your lucky. I HAD two Saleen S281s but I had to sell one because of CR problems.

Nah, I just spend too much CR on cars....and upgrades....I'm a nut, aren't I. But seriously, U-Classes are for teh nutjobs! Like me.

Unfortunately most people dont tune their U-Class and look like idiots. My U-class R32 gets close to sub 7 min Ring times.

I have a D-class GT500KR that handles perfectly, and is faster than any other D-class car I know of.

I tune all my cars to what I like. It's just fine tunning them is hard to do. (I'm going to copy my suspension settings from my D-class GT500KR to my U-class Boss 429)

When I tune, I take the balance of the car into consideration. I put the 5.4L S/C V8 into the boss, becasue it was lighter and had more power, althoulg I have like 20 U-class cars.

Assists on or off? T/F.

I drive a CLKGTR around the ring, no assists save ABS if I'm tired, and I manage to do better than most of the U-Class idiots out there.

If you're not running without TCS and ASM off, you're not driving.

They're both off. Only assist is ABS. I only did it once and havent been able to do it again. It was under 7:05

On the ring, you'll never need ABS or brakes for that matter if you feather it just right and tune it right. At least I dont. I usually have ASM and TCS off unless i'm using the GT40. It's just too much car for me.

But most of my cars are U only because I upgrade them and then tune them. I'm not sure if this is a rant towards U cars in general, or those who use U cars but don't tune them. :-/

Anyway, i've got a S Charger that does alright unless theres a GT40 in the room.
