Well, I was originally going to create a topic solely on Endurance Races, but whatever.

I finished classes D, C, and B using an 2004 Audi TT Coupe 3.2 quattro, the very first car I bought in game, with adjusting the specs to match the race. But it's not working so well anymore with the A and S class races. Anybody got a suggested car(or two) for these races?

Porsche Cayman. I have one tuned to 998, the highest level in S class. I gotta look at it again and get back to you on the specs. AWD stuff helps as well.

Playing the past few days after not for quite a while, I've gotten to like the Porsches quite a bit. I really like the engine placement on them, you can just cruise right through a corner like that, it's amazing....

I have a quick question, do you guys ever play with driver assists on? I started playing it with them on when I first got the game because that was the original settings, but since then I've been using none....except for the braking line sometimes....anyway, just wondered what the consensus was on them. I've gotta say that doing the Cobra stock race was pretty exhilarating without assists, seat-of-the-pants type driving is actually pretty fun.

I'm a level 37(or 36, I forgot) with at least 180K. I haven't looked through my car list so I really can't say if I have a Cayman or if I have any decent AWD's.

Yes, in career mode: ABS, Auto-trans., and normal race difficulty. There's another one and I'm blanking out on the name at this moment... it's a three letter acronym, and it's not TCS.

One that helped me was an RB26DETT swap in a 240Z, 432R or whatever, with a harder compound tire, i.e. close to street.

I had been playing with AWD's for a long time, actually before recently I almost always used AWD's, but since I've really learned to control the gas and brake with a lot more finese I've really gotten into RWD and Mid engine cars, they offer much better handling in the corners, provided you're careful when accelerating. I just started using a Silvia lately, didn't upgrade it much, but I like it quite a bit, it's very stable but still handles the corners quite well.

@Zad, you doing a lot of drifting? I don't really like ABS, it feels like I can't slow down fast enough in the corners.....I guess that's because I've gotten used to going without it, it feels like I have to slam the brakes on every corner when I go back to ABS...lol.

It's all about the threshold and where you brake with it. There's a sweet spot that'll produce the same brake power as non ABS.

I do drift a bit when bored. Usually its either the AE86, S13, R32, Impreza or my recent addition.....Audi S5. I dont really do it online though. I'm not good enough to do that

I have 69' Camaro tuned for C and B class races. It races pretty well in those classes but not so well in A-Class races, any suggestions?

Don't try to race A-Class cars with a C and B tuned car? laugh.gif

For speed or handling? Its a decent car, but its chassis seems to like A-800 best, rather than 850. The power kinda throws it off. My best times with that car in A class have been with full suspension, areo, and weight upgrades, and as much as I could do to the engine. That'll put it in the 2500lb, 400 hp category. Then, to keep the rear end in check, you need to balance your gear ratios such that applying power suddenly won't put it out of control. Of course, soften up the rear and tighten the front--but not too much, as you just want to get rid of the oversteer, not give the car understeer.

You could mess with the suspension. I did it with my GT500KR. IIRC,it only has a tranny, suspension, tire and exhaust upgrades; still D-class but it turns really well. I found that out on accident. I took down my old man's Charger by several seconds at road atlanta, despite the fact I had a little less power.

That worked! Now it handles perfectly; no oversteer nor understeer!

Y'know, I tried that and got mixed results over four test sessions, most of them
ending up having my Camaro go sideways and into the dirt or wall. But, most of
the sessions were a success.

A good S class car is a Mine's R34 with all mods EXCEPT engine mods.

Yeah....I usually use a Shelby Mustang or 2000 Cobra. But, I have a little soft-spot
for the Camaro. laugh.gif

A good car that, when tuned properly, is a fully upgraded S13 Silvia. I believe mine is a 975 S-Class. While it doesnt have the top end a McLaren F1 does, it does handle and take corners at speed a lot better. As far as A-Class I have a borderline A class S14 Silvia. Its like 1 or 2 away from an S-Class.

I'll be willing to post my tune settings for my 1966 Ford GT40 Nissan Oval settings. 252 MPH on the Benchmark and i've topped it at 250 on the actual oval.

Cars that I have actually upgraded and tuned are:
Elise Lotus 1335 (I forgot which one it was, it's the start Lotus)
1966 Ford GT40 MKII
Saleen S7
McLaren F1 GT
1969 Charger
Gallardo
1982 Porshce 911 (Wheelie tune only, i'm still working on the actual race tune)
2002 Nissan MINE R34 (tuning still in progress, i'm working on it)
2003 Bentley #7 Speed 8 RI (i've only tuned it for the oval and it to go up to 210, 212 i'm pretty sure. I'll check later)

if you guys want it, i'll give them out for free.
